Ideas for Family History

Last week in Gospel Doctrine our teacher had the class share the ways they have documented their ancestors history, as well as our families on earth today. I just wanted to share some of these ideas with you because I know that for me, it seems so much of our family history is done or I don't know where to start. I felt it was important for me to document MY family's history NOW and not procrastinate to do it when I'm older. I love all of you; my parents, Grandma, my brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. I was really hoping we could do this together. PLEASE take just a few moments each month to participate and share your memories of our special family with the rest of us and ultimately, our posterity. I LOVE YOU!!! Happy Holidays!

Ideas for family history:

-familysearch.org
-interview w/family members, make a questionaire and record/document
-letter books, write messages back and forth between spouses and/or children
-quote books
-temple work
-bind/make a book of notes you've written between you and your spouse
-blog
-family newsletters
-retain copies of files from Mom, Dad, Grandma, etc
-talk often to relatives BEFORE they are older, many may know different things from eachother about ancestors/family history that is not documented
